Ben Gauslin

Ben Gauslin first arrived in New Orleans in the Summer of 2006. An architect by training, he cut his teeth professionally in Chicago, working on residences, municipal buildings, and schools. In 2004, he began teaching architecture and design at Virginia Tech. His teaching gig was cut short, however, soon after Katrina visited. Ben then packed his life into a moving truck and headed south to be closer to family and to help with rebuilding. Ben lives in Tremé, runs Gauslin Studio, and joined up with Stay Local! within weeks of arriving in New Orleans.
