It seems like you can buy anything online these days, but there are some things Amazon cannot deliver.
Independent businesses beat Amazon in job creation, economic impact, and diversity.  “Shop Local” is a common phrase, but few truly grasp the massive economic impact small businesses have on our economy. Meredith Cherney will be presenting the facts at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW).

WHEN: Thursday, March 23rd from 2:30 - 3:00 PM

NOEW is a unique festival experience that celebrates and elevates the New Orleans entrepreneurial ecosystem. It goes from March 19th to the 24th and is free to attend!

Annual Survey of Independent Businesses   StayLocal requests participation from our network in an annual survey of independent business owners in partnership with the Institute for Local Self Reliance (ILSR).    The survey aims to find out how independent businesses are faring, what key challenges are impacting them, and whether people are more aware and supportive of the localism movement.    Our findings are published in New Orleans Independent Business Trends Report, which we share widely with local and national policy makers to help create an environment where local business can thrive. Last year, our presentation of the 2016 report to our council members led to discussions about commercial real estate, road construction, and solutions to challenges business owners face. Read our past finding here - New Orleans Independent Business Trends Report.   Don't miss this important opportunity to make your voice heard!   The survey opens MARCH 6TH.
