Open Studio Artists’ Spring Tour
Spring is the perfect time to enjoy art, and OPEN STUDIOS is a great way to meet the artists in their own spaces. Perfect for bicycling or walking, the event allows you to visit multiple artists on a lovely spring weekend, Saturday and Sunday April 21 and 22, from noon until 5pm. Admission is free.
Using an easy to follow map, you will enjoy meeting painters, photographers, mosaic artists, fiber artists, jewelers, sculptors, glass artists, printmakers and more in the Bywater, Marigny, lower French Quarter and Esplanade Ridge. Look for studio numbers on participating artists’ doors. More than 30 artists will have work on display for appreciation and purchase.
“Open Studios events continue to attract fine artists who live and work in our historic neighborhoods,” said Ze daLuz, participant and organizer. “We have many new stops at this spring event, including Studio #2, GNOAM, where eight artists new to New Orleans live and show their work.”
For more details on participants, links to their websites and examples of work, as well as a detailed map which you can download and print, please visit our website. Maps will also be available at neighborhood businesses and from participating artists.
