Commerce Continues Along MLK Blvd. During Road Improvements
New Orleans businesses and residents situated along and around Central City, from St. Charles Avenue to S. Claiborne, are nearby to the resurfaced Martin Luther King Blvd. The completed $5.5 million project included all new paving, the addition of protected bike lanes, and other access and sidewalk improvements. Uptown communities are now easier to navigate and more connected.
Tatiana & Juan Lock, owners of Tito’s Ceviche & Pisco, recently opened a second location on St. Charles Avenue. A protected bike lane on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., also Melpomene Street, is now in place to connect St. Charles Avenue to nearby neighborhoods.
StayLocal has partnered with the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development and RoadWorkNOLA to provide support to businesses during roadwork construction that is scheduled throughout the city.
