Participate in the 9th Annual Eat Local Challenge!
Pledge to source everything you eat from within 200 miles of the Greater New Orleans area. The Eat Local Challenge is a fun way to rethink the impact your food shopping and restaurant consumption has on the local economy. Events like bike tours of community gardens and free tastings listed here will keep you licking--oops, sticking-- to your pledge all month long.
The challenge begins runs all June long. Sign up and commit yourself to eating only foods grown, caught or raised locally. Pointers and commitment levels are provided during the FREE registration process.
Join us Monday, June 3rd for Eat Local Day at the New Orleans Food Co-Op. We’ll be there to answer questions about the positive impact that sourcing our food closely has on our local economy.
